Noel Cantwell. This is a reallylovely large postcard size black and white picture of Noel Cantwell the former Manchester United and Ireland footballer. This picture is adhered to a piece of card for rigidity and depicts a scene at the start of the 1963 FA Cup Final when United went on to beat Leicester City 3-1. Noel has signed this for me beneath the image. In November 1960, Cantwell joined Manchester United for £29,500 which at the time was a record for a full back. He helped the club win the 1965 and 1967 league titles and captained United when winning the 1963 FA Cup. Cantwell played 123 leagues games for Manchester United between 1960 and 1967, scoring 6 goals. Cantwell played for the Republic of Ireland 36 times between 1953 and 1967.
